Linde Center for Music and Learning
The Linde Center for Music & Learning is a 25,000 gsf facility constructed to house the new Tanglewood Learning Institute program, an educational program deepening existing audience connection to music and reaching out to new audiences. Accommodating master classes, open rehearsals, workshops, panel discussions, and presentations that allow participants a behind-the-scenes view of music making, this facility contains key spaces such as: a 3,700 sf multi-use space, observation spaces, breakout spaces, and a cafe.
During the week, this facility serves as a rehearsal and teaching facility for the Tanglewood Music Center. The large multi-use studio with retractable seats can hold rehearsals for a full orchestra.
The Linde Center opened the summer of 2019, twenty-five years after Seiji Ozawa Hall, also designed by William Rawn Associates.
