Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing
Pinkard Building Renovation and Addition
The Johns Hopkins School of Nursing — now the #1 ranked graduate nursing program per US News and #1 in NIH Research funding — occupies an outdated building from the 1990s. This significant renovation and addition (65,000gsf) creates a transformative experience for students, faculty and staff with new types of spaces: an active ground floor “Hub” for the life of the school, new student collaboration spaces, and more flexible classroom, conference, and research facilities. A double-height “Study Cube” of classroom and study space is carved out of the existing building and features an innovative double-skin curtainwall. Hord Coplan Macht is the Architect of Record.
