Bowdoin College Recital Hall

Bowdoin College will soon start construction on a New Recital Hall in the center of campus – a 290-seat performance space for with first rate acoustics. Conceived of as a warm, intimate space that celebrates a sense of community among audience and performers, the hall has been designed to accommodate a range of musical programs including classical music, jazz, world music and electronic music.

The Recital Hall, which also will contain a rehearsal room and 9 practice rooms, will be built within the Curtis Pool and will bring new life to this historic building.  The pool’s high volume, column free space and massive brick walls provide a natural home for this new performance space.
